Legal Secretary (Property) – Wellington office

We have a vacancy for a full time (37.5 hours) Legal Secretary, in our Wellington office.
In this busy and interesting role, you will provide secretarial support to authors (lawyers and legal executives) in our Wellington residential property and commercial property teams.
You will do the following sorts of tasks in this role:

Manage client onboarding, acting as the initial point of contact for the client, including inputting client details, and coordinating appointments.

Help your authors prepare settlement statements and trust account statements.

Coordinate Anti-money laundering (AML) compliance, and monthly invoicing.

Draft sale and purchase agreements, deeds, and leases.

Engage in team meetings and training sessions, as you will be an integral part of our team.
We’d love to hear from you if you can tick “yes” to all or most of the following:

Has worked as a property secretary and has a good understanding of the conveyancing process, and/or
-
Has experience working as a Legal Secretary or PA or in a similar support role.

Is an expert user with MS Word and Outlook, and can easily pick up new technical systems and office processes,

Has good written and verbal communication skills, and enjoys working as a team,

Is highly organised and able to cope with multiple tasks and deadlines,

Thrives on new experiences and opportunities – that is, you have a “can do”, “will do” and a “just do it” attitude.
